Crowncare Henna
Root Activator
Henna conditioning is a cumulative process yielding extraordinary results that elongate spirals and curls, virtually eliminates frizz, cuts wash and air dry time, adds strength, treats grays and reduces shedding. Crowncare Henna Conditioning is Step 1 of the Crowncare Silk Press featured in Elite Beauty Courses.
Crowncare Henna
Spiraled and curled strands are permanently elongated
Frizz is virtually eliminated
(IYKYK) "Wash Day" becomes a 30-minute process
Hair dries without need of a drying tool and dries faster, creating the perfect braid out and twist out, every time
Unless fully saturated, hair is now reversion-proof meaning less mechanical and heat styling damage
Henna binds to hair keratin, filling microscopic gaps and smoothing lifted hair cuticles along the hair shaft, supporting integral strength
Single strand knot mitigation means less tangling and cutting, meaning more length retention
Lustrous shine and extreme softness
Hair requires less product and time to style
Naturally dyes grey hair and ebbs grey hair growth
Soothes scalp inflammation
Promotes hair growth
Strengthens roots for reduced hair shed
Nourishing ingredients + less time consuming wash days means more frequent washes which are a conduit of growth

24 - 48 hours before application
Pour Crowncare Henna powder into a clear, heat-safe glass container
Boil 32 oz of spring or distilled water
Pour water in batches over the henna, intermittently stirring with wooden or stainless steel spoon
Look through the bowl to stir in any unintegrated henna powder and break down as many clumps as possible
Cover the henna with parchment paper or aluminum foil and stir occasionally leading up to application day
Hair length between 1 to 6 inches can 1) weigh out 160 grams of Crowncare Henna and activate with 16 oz of boiled water or 2) make the entire pouch and freeze the remaining batch for the next application
Application Day
Application is most efficacious on dry stretched hair (braid out, blow out, old silk press, etc.)
Prepare space with protective covering or tarp (included in Henna Conditioner Starter Kit)
Remove jewelry
Organize hair into 6 sections
Detangle and comb out shed hair
Cover upper body in old t-shirt or styling cape (included in Henna Conditioner Starter Kit)
Apply gloves
If skin dyeing is a concern, apply petroleum jelly to your skin along the hairline, neck and ears (however, if your objective is to condition fine hairs along the hair line and at the nape of the neck, skip this step)
Make a horizontal part starting from the bottom of your first section
Clip remaining hair out of the way
Apply Root Activator to the parted section and along the part line
Massage the Activator in with finger tips
Take index, ring and pointer finger to scoop Crowncare Henna from your bowl and onto your section
Work into roots, then scoop more henna and apply to the length of your hair
Work henna into the entire section until every strand is coated
Use a rat tail comb to comb the henna into your roots and down the length of your hair
Part a new section above the completed section
Repeat until hair is fully conditioned
Gather hair to the base of your head
Cover in processing cap
Store extra henna in freezer
Post-Application
Leave on for 7 to 8 hours
Rinse with warm water
Wash hair 3 times to clear all henna remnants
Follow with deep conditioner

Henna conditioning is a natural, semi-permanent hair dyeing technique
Covering skin, painted surfaces, and clothing is imperative to protect from dye transfer
Color lasts 8-12 weeks, washing out gradually, leaving no line of demarcation at the roots
Naturally dark hair colors experience no superficial color changes, but dye deposit is visible when strands are held to a light source or in the sun
Naturally light hair colors will see notable color changes according to their henna selection
White and gray hairs adopt an orangish to dark red hue according to henna selection
To rapidly achieve elongated spirals and curls, henna condition every 7 to 14 days
Achieve permanent reversion-proof strands after 8 to 10 applications
Combining the Crowncare Henna Conditioning process with the Crowncare Silk Press maximizes strand elongation and humidity-proof results
Once hair has undergone 8 to 10 applications, a maintence cadence of 4 weeks is recommended to condition new growth, no later than every 6 weeks
